Prof. Dr. Guohua Xie, Xiamen University, China

Prof. Dr. Guohua Xie obtained his Ph.D. degree from Jilin University (China) in 2011, working on OLED microdisplays. From August 2011, Dr. Xie carried out his postdoctoral research at TU Dresden (Germany), sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, investigating the stability of OLEDs. Dr. Xie worked for an OLED-based interdisciplinary project to treat skin cancer with OLEDs at the University of St Andrews (UK) since 2013. From 2015, he worked for the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Wuhan University (China). Since 2023, Dr. Xie served as a full professor in the Institute of Flexible Electronics (Future Technologies) of Xiamen University, working on the interdisciplinary research of the emerging optoelectronic materials and devices. Dr. Xie has co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications with an H-index of 52 and contributed to 1 book as the editor-in-chief. In 2020, Dr. Xie has been admitted as a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry. Currently, he serves as a member of Youth Editorial Board respectively for “Chinese Journal of Luminescence”, “SmartMat”, “InfoMat”, “InfoScience”, and “The Innovation”. Meanwhile, Dr. Xie also takes the role of Academic Editor for the journal “The Innovation Materials”.

Prof. Dr. Maria Giovanna Buonomenna, Ordine Regionale dei Chimici e dei Fisici della Campania (OCF) and MIUR, Italy

M. G. Buonomenna (Salerno, 1975), graduated in Chemistry in 1998 (110/110), obtained the license and status of Professional Chemist in 1999 (100/100). She was awarded a Research Fellowship in Membrane Materials and Operations in 1999 from the Institute on Membrane and Technology (ITM) (former IRMERC)-National Research Council of Italy (CNR) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Materials in 2005 from the University of Calabria. In February 2014 and for the second time in October 2018 she obtained the qualification of Associate Professor in Chemical Fundamentals of Technologies from the Italian Ministry for Instruction, University and Research (MIUR). Her research activities relate to membrane science and technology for sustainable processes. She is author of more than 70 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, 1 book, more than 90 contributions published in conferences proceedings, 10 chapters of scientific books, editor of 1 book on advanced membrane materials, guest-editor of 9 Special Issues in peer-reviewed international journals, and member of the Editorial Boards for a number of international peer reviewed journals. She has been an Invited Speaker in numerous international conferences. She serves as reviewer for several international scientific journals and as Expert Evaluator for International Funding Agencies.

Prof. Blaž Likozar, the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC), Slovenia

Prof. Blaž Likozar is a head of the Department of Catalysis and Chemical Reaction Engineering at the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC), leading the programme “Chemical Reaction Engineering”, as well as numerous research projects (15 H2020 / 50 in Horizon Europe alone). His expertise lies (among others) in heterogeneous catalysis materials, modelling, simulation and optimization of process fluid mechanics, transport phenomena and chemical kinetics. He worked at the University of Delaware in 2014–2015 as a Fulbright Program researcher. He has authored >330 articles, was cited >10000 times, having a h-index of 46. He is also involved in many industrial projects, amongst others, with TotalEnergies, Evonik Industries, UPM, Novartis, Carbon Recycling International… He is a recipient of Pregl and Zois awards.
